As we come to the end of another busy half term, it is important that we celebrate all the wonderful work we have produced and the fantastic facts we have learnt during The Art of Food topic! You took a journey with us as you discovered what happens to our food from the time we put it in our mouths to when it leaves our bodies. As a class, we found out what happens to our teeth when we eat and drink certain foods and how toothpaste can help protect them. Check out our disgusting egg pictures below which we used to show this!
Indoor PE is every Tuesday
Outdoor PE is every Thursday
Please make sure that your child has both FULL PE kits in school at the beginning of next half term in order for us to save time trying to find spares within school.
Homework is to be handed out every Monday and needs to be completed and handed back in on the Friday morning. Your child can choose from a range activities on the homework grid and they do not need to be completed in any particular order.
Please also remember to listen to your child read regularly (at least 4 times per week) and make sure that their reading record is signed to show this. It is also important that the reading book and record is in school daily for regular checks, guided reading sessions and extra reading with an adult.
Finally, I hope that you enjoy every minute of the well deserved half term holiday and that you stay safe throughout!
