We are now well into the school year, our 4th week. Time flies when you're having fun, as they say!! The children have settled really well into class 5C and I have been really impressed with all children. They all have their strengths and weaknesses and we are all working hard as a class to strengthen those weaknesses.

Just a reminder that homework goes out on a Monday and is to be returned on the Friday. We have two outdoor P.E slots, one on Monday last lesson and first thing after dinner on a Wednesday. The Wednesday slot has been an exciting, yet challenging experience for the children. We have been taking part in Outdoor and adventurous activities, where children have to work part of a team, which also means some children taking responsibilities as team leaders to make sure tasks are being completed and coming up with suitable plans. See pictures below!

Keep an eye on this page for more updates, you don't want to miss out!!

Our topic for this half term is 'Who Are Our Neighbours?' Over the course of this geography based topic we shall be learning about: our local area, countries and capital cities of the UK, rivers and mountain ranges in the UK, European countries and capital cities and European rivers and mountains. To start our topic we held a European Café afternoon last Wednesday. The children had an opportunity to taste a small selection of different European foods and also did a short quiz. All told - a lovely afternoon was had by all.
