This term our topic is Healthy Humans!
Through Science and Design Technology we'll be learning all about a balanced and healthy lifestyle.
For weekly updates on our topic, as well as everything else we're busy doing in 3M, check the weekly overviews below.
This week has been as busy as ever in 3M!
We have been working hard during some very tricky Maths lessons, identifying parallel and perpendicular lines. In English, we've been looking at lots of different shape poems. We even had the chance to perform our favourite poems to the rest of the class! As part of our 'Mission Possible' independent write, we created some super stories. We edited and improved our work with a partner making sure our writing was the best it could be! We've also been doing lots of work around our topic, 'Healthy Humans'. In science we created our own meal and annotated why we chose certain foods and their nutritional benefits to our diets. Our Grammar focus for this week has been prepositions. We really enjoyed learning the preposition song, have a listen below! - Harry and Mr Monaghan

In Maths we have been learning to tell the time. First we looked at past the hour for a day then we looked at to the hour. Next we looked at both. We can now tell the time on an analogue clock! In Guided Reading we have been looking at finding evidence to support a statement. We needed to scan the text to find evidence that supported our opinion.
In English we made our own shape poem all about fruit. We tasted lots of fruit and made a super shape poem. In science we made a leaflet on Purple Mash for the dinner ladies to help them explain to the children about how important a balanced diet is. We are excited because Mr Monaghan promised us that we can make our own sandwiches soon!
This week we have been looking at prepositions again in Grammar. We know lots of different ones, such as above, below, inside, outside, within and beyond. Mr Monaghan also gave us a Dojo challenge to use as many as we can in our work!
