Dodgeball (Reviewed 30/11/18)

Mr Whalley started coaching Dodgeball last half term in the hall on Thursdays 3.20pm to 4.20pm.  A Year 3/4 team and a Year 5/6 team have been selected to represent the school.  Only these children need to attend the coaching sessions that will finish on Thursday13th December 2018.

The Dodgeball festival dates are as follows:

Year 3/4 St Bede's Sports College on Thursday 15th November 2018, 4pm until 5.45pm.

The matches were all 2 minutes long and the team had to play 14 matches against schools from all over Blackburn with Darwen.

Our team got off to quite a slow start losing their first 7 games.  However,  once they had gained their confidence, we saw a different team who went on to win their final 7 games.  Although this was a festival rather than a tournament, there wasn't an overall winner but we are so proud of the performance of our team.  Well done everyone.

Year 5/6 St Bede's Sports College on Thursday 29th November 2018, 4pm until 5.45pm.

Unlike the Year 3/4 festival, the Year 5/6 matches were all 3 minutes long and the team played 7 matches against other schools.  the team should a great competitive spirit and won 4 of their games.  Well done everyone and thank you to the parents/carers who came along to support their children.

Dodgeball training will continue even once the festivals have finished.  The last session will be Thursday 13th December.
