ROCK AND ROLL!

Picture 1

This term our topic is: Rock and Roll!

Through History and Science we'll be learning all about the Stone Age!

For weekly updates on our topic, as well as everything else we're busy doing in 3M, check the weekly overviews below.

Weekly Overviews

Week Beginning: 04.02.19

English: This week we have been learning all about discussion texts. We had a class debate about whether it would be better living in the Stone Age compared to modern Britain. Living in the Stone Age meant that you got to be very creative and design your own clothes and houses. However, they didn't have any technology, how booooooring! Which would you prefer? Next week we're going to be writing our own discussion text - we can't wait!

Maths: We started the week learning how to multiply big numbers using a written method - it was easy! Here is one for you to try at home...84 x 7 = ?

We also had to try and solve some very tricky problems using lots of different equipment. Have a look at the pictures below!

Theme (Rock 'N' Roll!): This week we started to compare the different periods of the Stone Age. We compared what life was in the neolithic era compared to the palaeolithic era. Most of our class would prefer to live in the neolithic era because there's much less moving around trying to hunt for dangerous animals and building shelters! We'd much prefer farm life! Have a look at some of the super work that we produced!
