Welcome to 6BP!

Our class teacher is Ms Blackledge and our SSAs are Mrs Grogan and Ms Regan. We will be posting lots of information about all things 6BP on this web page, including information on remote learning and how to best support your child during these difficult times so please keep visiting us!

Friday, 2nd July 2021.

Well everyone, we've finally made it - the final day of remote learning! I cannot wait until Monday when we can all meet up again! Don't forget, we still have swimming on Monday afternoon so please remember to bring your swimming kit. Also, if the weather stays fine, we will be having our sports morning with Mr Whalley on Monday morning so you will need to come to school in your PE kits. Do try to complete as much remote learning as possible today and then enjoy a well-earned break at the weekend. Take care and I'll see you bright and early on Monday morning! Ms Blackledge blush

Thursday, 1st July 2021.

Good morning everyone - I hope you're all well. Again, a huge thankyou to those of you who have been taking part in the online lessons - I'm so proud of the fantastic work you're doing and the way you've just got on with things during isolation. I can't wait until we're all back together again on Monday! Just a reminder - we all have to stay in self-isolation until Sunday. Keep up the hard work with remote learning - we're nearly there! Ms Blackledge. blush

Wednesday, 30th June 2021

Good morning everyone. I hope you're all doing well and staying safe. Many thanks to those children who have been taking part in every lesson every day - the quality of your work has been wonderful! For those who haven't taken part in every lesson, it is incredibly important that you don't fall behind, especially with the long holiday coming up. Please make sure that you take part in every one of today's lessons.

I can't wait until we're all back together again in school; until then, head over to the Remote Learning Overviews section of this page to see what we will be learning today. blush

Monday, 28th June 2021

Good morning everyone - I hope you've all had a super weekend, despite having to self isolate! I would firstly like to say a huge thankyou and well done to all of the children who so quickly just got straight back on to remote learning - your effort and work ethic are amazing! Please could I ask that all children take part in every lesson this week and that work is completed during school hours to ensure it can be read, marked and feedback delivered. As always, if there are any problems with the work set or any other aspect of home learning, please feel free to contact me on the numbered provided by the school office last week. blush

Friday, 25th June 2021

Hi everyone. I had really hoped that we had said goodbye to remote learning, however, I am determined that we will make the most of learning remotely! As far as is possible, we will be continuing with the work we have been completing in class. Please make sure you visit the 'Remote Learning Overviews' section of this web page to see what we will be covering in home learning each day. Please also make sure that you watch the video lessons carefully before attempting the 2Do's - the task will not make sense to you if you don't watch the lessons.

As always, if you need any help, just send me an email via Purple Mash or ask an adult to contact me on my work phone number which all parents and carers were given in the last lockdown. If parents and carers need my work number, please do not hesitate to contact the main office at school. Take care and I'll speak to you all soon. blush

This week is Children's Mental Health Week. We will be focusing our PSHE lesson on this subject today - please see the PSHE section of our web page. You can also find support for children's mental health on our school website under the 'Children' tab and if you look at our class web page under 'Nurture' you will find resources to support you there too. If you are concerned about your mental health, please speak to a parent or other trusted adult. You can also contact me on my school phone number - which all of your parents have been given - as well as via Purple Mash. Please look after yourselves and each other. heart

Tuesday, 12th January 2021

Hi everyone! I just wanted to add a quick message about today's learning. A few people have contacted me to say that they can't find today's maths video. For some reason, this video didn't upload so I've now uploaded it again. You will need to close down Purple Mash and restart it and then the video should appear. If you have any problems after that, just let me know. I have posted the video below too - hopefully you can see it that way!

Thursday, 7th January 2021

Hello again! I just thought I'd put a quick message on to clarify that from next week (Monday) we will be putting recorded lessons online for all children to complete via Purple Mash. I have managed to get in contact with most parents so far but if I haven't spoken to you yet, the office will be sending out my work number soon so please feel free to contact me using that should you have any problems and I'll keep trying to contact those parents I haven't yet spoken to.

A few parents have asked me about additional resources for times tables so I have uploaded some links to suitable times table resources on the 'Maths Games' part of our webpage. This work is not compulsory but please do encourage your child to have a go to help support the development of their maths skills. Take care and I will be in contact again very soon! Tuesday, 5th January 2021

Hello and happy new year to you all! I know that this isn't the start to the year that we were hoping for or expecting but we will make sure that your child is able to progress with their learning as much as is possible over the coming days and weeks. I have set the learning for the remainder of this week on Purple Mash as we would have done in the first lockdown - please ensure your child completes this work and hands it in via Purple Mash. From Monday, however, there will be recorded lessons on Purple Mash for the children to follow with an activity for each lesson. It is compulsory for all children to complete each lesson, each day as they would have done if they were in school. I have added an email link to this page so if you are having difficulties, please feel free to contact me using this. I will be making phonecalls home throughout this week to check everyone has what they need to access remote learning. Take care and I'll speak to you all soon! blush
